DTOC Makes Annual Donation To Meridian Boys & Girls Club – 2021

Executive Director Ricky Hood  and Director of Operations Jermaine Harris of the Meridian Boys & Girls Club, were the guest speakers at the Tuesday, April 13th, 2021 DTOC meeting and they updated everyone in on the latest activities of the Boys & Girls Club. Ricky and Jermaine both detailed how the Meridian Boys & Girls Club were affected last year during the worst of the pandemic and outlined some of the new services such as delivering meals were implemented to cope with the needs of both children and some adults.

Downtown Optimist Club President Trey Hannah presented a check for $1,000 to support their efforts in assisting the youth of our community. The DTOC has committed itself to giving the Boys & Girl Club an annual donation to assist with their efforts to to help the children they support.
