DTOC Donates to Debs/Parent Circle Halloween Event – 2015

The Downtown Optimist Club of Meridian sometimes gets to help two groups at the same time and this is one of those times.

Over the years, the DTOC has developed a strong working relationship with a group of girls in Meridian, MS known as The Debs. The Debs assist the DTOC each year with Pancake Jubilee and they help us in the concession stand during our summer T-Ball Program. So strong in fact, that the Debs recently chose to name the Downtown Optimist Club as their sponsoring organization!

Each year the Debs team up with Parents Circle to host a Halloween event for special needs children, and for the last couple of years, we have voted to to help the Debs by underwriting their cost of this event as well as once again supporting the great work of Parents Circle of Meridian.

Today, DTOC President Daniel Stewart presented a DTOC $500 donation to Deb Dad Scott Gray on behalf of the Debs to pay for candy and supplies that will be used for the event.
