Carter Foundation Receives Donation From DTOC – 2015

James Carter, Founder of The Carter Foundation in Meridian, MS recently visited the Downtown Optimist Club to provide our members with an overview of the efforts of his foundation in attempting to reach the youth of our community and to steer their energies toward growing into productive members of our community. The DTOC membership were all very impressed with Mr. Carter and his efforts and we are investigating multiple opportunities where we can work together as organizations.

On November 17th, the DTOC asked James Carter to join us for lunch once again so that our President Daniel Stewart could present the Carter Foundation with a check for $500 to help support their efforts.
