Don E. McNair Jr. Friend Of Youth 2019 Award Presented To Bobby Parker

On Tuesday, December 10th, 2019, The Downtown Optimist Club of Meridian presented its annual Don E. McNair, Jr. Friend of Youth Award to Robert E. (Bobby) Parker, Jr.

Mr. Parker has been a long time support and volunteer with the Boy Scouts and has been a volunteer with the DTOC Jr. Golf Program almost since its inception. Mr. Parker has taught countless children the rules and techniques of the game of golf over the years giving them all skills and sportsmanship which will last their lifetimes.

The award comes with a donation of $250 made in the name of the recipient to the youth program of their choice and Mr. Parker selected the Choctaw Area Boy Scouts as the program to receive the donation.
